Total investment of 10.19 billion yuan! This project in Hengyang is one of the top ten industrial projects in the province this year

On the morning of January 14, the third session of the 14th People's Congress of Hunan Province opened in Changsha.

The reporter learned that this year's provincial government work report proposed to focus on industrial development and expand investment, and in 2025, it will focus on the construction of "top ten industrial projects" including the Hengyang Green Salt-alkali Industrial Base.

The Hengyang Green Salt-alkali Industrial Base Project is a key project to strengthen the brine chemical industry chain in Hunan Province and promote the formation of the "petrochemical in the north and salt in the south" pattern in the province.

The total investment of the project is 10.19 billion yuan, covering an area of ​​1,234.5 acres. After completion, it will become the leader of soda ash in South China, with an estimated annual operating income of 5 billion yuan and drive 4,000 jobs in the surrounding areas.

Hengyang and surrounding areas will use this project as an industrial foundation for upstream and downstream extensions, which will help form a Hunan salt chemical industry cluster of 100 billion yuan.

The cogeneration project mainly includes three 350 t/h pulverized coal boilers, a 20 MW steam turbine, a 25 MW generator and supporting public works. The first unit is expected to be put into operation by the end of 2025.
